Game of Thrones fans will soon be able to see the dragons on their screens once again. HBO has announced that House of the Dragon will premiere on 21 August 2022. We’ll see at least one of the terrifying beasts in the upcoming show.
After months of speculation, HBO has announced the debut date of its next Game of Thrones spinoff. House of the Dragon will focus on “House Targaryen 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones”, according to the official HBO press release.
The company debuted a teaser trailer in October 2021, and fans have been speculating about how it’ll tie in with the rest of the network’s hit show lineup ever since.
HBO made the surprise announcement via Twitter, revealing the House of Dragon series will be a prequel of GOT centering around popular characters.
