As the imminent launch event for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series approaches, additional details are surfacing. In the latest round of leaks, high-quality images and information about key AI features have emerged, including a feature resembling Google’s Pixel 8 Magic Eraser tool.
Twitter user @MysteryLupin shared marketing materials showcasing several notable features of the Galaxy S24 series. These include the previously announced Live Translate feature, which leverages AI to translate phone calls. Another feature, “Nightography Zoom,” enhances low-light photos when zooming in, particularly useful in situations where telephoto lenses may not be optimally utilized in low-light conditions. Additionally, the term “high resolution” refers to the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 200MP main camera, and “screen display” describes a “bright, flat screen” providing more space for user activities.
Interestingly, the description of the feature resembling Google’s Magic Eraser on the Pixel 8 series caught attention. While Samsung’s device employs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with on-device AI capabilities, similar to Google’s Tensor chips, it still requires an internet connection for this particular feature. Notably, leaked material indicates that the Magic Eraser-like feature will be supported across all three Galaxy S24 devices.
Earlier in the day, the same leaker had shared high-quality images of the Galaxy S24 series. Although these images were promptly removed—presumably due to Samsung’s efforts to curtail social media leaksDigital Trends managed to capture copies before their deletion.
Based on previous leaks and information from Samsung’s website, the launch event for the Galaxy S24 series is expected to occur on January 17. The date was briefly confirmed before being removed by the company.
