Wife of NASCAR superstar Kurt Busch files for divorce in Florida and claims that he has committed the ‘tortious act. In a statement released from TMZ, Kurt Busch said, “I am heartbroken to confirm that my wife Ashley and I are in the process of dissolving our marriage. The divorce process is a personal and private issue and I am hoping that our privacy will be protected.”
According to the media, Ashley Busch filed for divorce on May 9 in Florida. In her divorce papers, she claims she believes that Kurt “committed a tortious act” and the union has become “irretrievably broken.” She states that issues arose during the month of April. Kurt Busch allegedly cut her out of their joint bank accounts and credit cards. Kurt Busch “demanded she leave the family home by the first week of June, even though he has another home in which he can reside.”
Ashley is also a professional polo player as well as an ambassador of the renowned clothing company US Polo Assn. Ashley has the father of real estate entrepreneur Albert ‘Beau’ van Metre Jr. She was married Kurt in the year 2017. According to reports, the couple does not have any children and they didn’t have a prenuptial agreement.
A 2017 Daytona 500 winner and the Virginia native recently marked their wedding anniversary with Ashley singing about the anniversary in the month of February in an Instagram post.
Prior to their separation, the couple was seen in the CMT show Racing Wives alongside other prominent NASCAR couples.
